KERRI MORRISON - PRINCIPAL

With 40 years of dance teaching experience Kerri is fully qualified to teach ballet, tap and modern. As a child she performed throughout New Zealand in music theatre and has had extensive experience in directing and choreographing for both children and adults during the last 30 years.

In the last 10 years she has travelled to both the USA and the UK to further her teaching experience.

Kerri is also a qualified primary school teacher with 35 years experience.

 

SONALI VERSACE ( Guest Teacher)

Sonali teaches jazz and singing with 25 years of experience in the industry. Sonali has performed professionally as a dancer/singer in West Side Story  ( Marguerita)  Grease-the Arena Spectacular ( Cha Cha) on television variety shows including GMA and The Steve Vizard Show. She has choreographed for clients that include Crown Casino, L'oreal and Dancing with the Stars.

Sonali has taught at Bartuccios and Dance World and was a resident teacher at the Dance Factory for 10 years.

Sonali’s experience extends nationally and internationally - conducting workshops throughout Australia and performing in Europe and the United States.

 

KELLY COATES

A student at the Marmont School of Dance since the age of four and a teacher for the last eight years, Kelly brings a wealth of talent to her teaching. Kelly has studied all facets of dance including modern, tap, classical and hip hop.  Kelly’s external performances include several for the Waverley Theatre Company.

Kelly has studied with many teachers from the United States including Greg Russell, Barry Youngblood and Alison Faulk.

She has just completed 2 year full time course at Patrick Studios Australia - and was awarded Dancer of the Year for 2011!

Kelly is currently studying for her Teachers Associate exam with the ISTD.

 

JOANNE PANETTA

Joanne brings a diverse background in hip hop to her classes.

She has studied with some of the best hip hop teachers from the United States including Barry Youngblood, Tabitha and Napoleon Duomo (So You Think You Can Dance- USA) 

Joanne performed in the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and is constantly up dating her choreography.

Joanne has studied all aspects of dance including contemporary, jazz, classical and tap.

Joanne has been teaching dance for the Marmont School of Dance for eleven years.
