The Marmont School of Dance was established by Phyllis Marmont in New Zealand in 1928.
In 1965, Phyllis was joined by her daughter Kerri as a teacher in the school.
The School grew and continued to run until Phyllis retired in 1988.
Kerri moved to Melbourne not long after and re established the School in 1992.
Marmont School of Dance offer classes in Classical Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap & Hip Hop.
Studios are in Blackburn, Glen Waverley and Chelsea.
Students are taught I.S.T.D Tap, Modern and Classical Syllabus.
I.S.T.D (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) is an Internationally taught syllabus based in the U.K. Students are able to sit I.S.T.D examinations which are recognized world-wide.
All members of our teaching faculty are fully qualified and have a vast range of experience both here in Australia & overseas. They regularly travel to the UK & the USA to update syllabus knowledge and study the latest teaching techniques.
